Just For Fun Concerts EP 2017-03 (Episode 57)

We return for another episode of Tales From The Drop Box whereas persons traveling to the U.S. from seven Muslim countries (including those persons who have visas or green cards or dual citizenship and legally reside in the U.S.) but where FPOS doesn’t have business interests will not be returning for at least 90 days. This is not surprising coming from FPOS as he has indicated that the only immigrants likely to be permitted entry into the U.S. without extreme vetting are from Russia. In a nation of immigrants, apparently the “inconvenience” of being Muslim outweighs the civil liberties of those persons even though they are legally residents of our country.

If Muslim’s are first – who will be next? The parallels to Hitler’s first days in office are startling. The use of executive orders and promoting fear of “Muslims” is identical to the tactics Hitler utilized to manufacture the Jewish threat, promote discrimination, and pass the “Gesetz zur Behebung der Not von Volk und Reich” aka “Law to Remedy the Distress of the People and the Reich.” This enabling act permitted Hitler and his cabinet to enact legislation, including laws deviating from or altering the constitution, without the consent of the Reichstag. As should be obvious, Trump will shame and bully those whom oppose him and the Republican sheep will fall in line to save their political careers rather than take a stand against hate. Where is the shouting from the butt licking congressional leaders about orders directed to prioritizing Christians over Muslims for entry into the U.S. and promoting fear and hate?

As FPOS has already declared that “persecuted Christian refugees would receive a priority,” and provided this solid analysis:

“They’ve been horribly treated. Do you know if you were a Christian in Syria it was impossible, at least very tough, to get into the United States? If you were a Muslim you could come in, but if you were a Christian, it was almost impossible and the reason that was so unfair, everybody was persecuted in all fairness, but they were chopping off the heads of everybody but more so the Christians. And I thought it was very, very unfair. So we are going to help them.” (Id.)

These statements are, of course, untrue, but as we have already observed with FPOS the truth is rarely an impediment if a lie will achieve his objective . At least FPOS is honest in his hatred of those persons who are not like him. Probably, like the other F-nuts in congress, FPOS is confident in his position that religious persecution is acceptable in the new AmeriKKKa. A government ban on the entry of Muslims is a prima facie case of religious persecution. Religious persecution is the systematic mistreatment of an individual or group of individuals as a response to their religious beliefs or affiliations or lack thereof.

Maybe I’m not as smart as FPOS, but doesn’t this go against traditional Christian beliefs? Perhaps God hates Muslims too. (Ed. note: Wasn’t this a sign in HBO’s True Blood?) Government sponsored religious intolerance is evil and America went to war to prevent the very form of hate FPOS is now advocating. Of course he will walk his extreme postion back and flop like a fat whale on he beach of the truth, or blame someone else, but hey, he got elected and he did say he would do this %^#^.

What the $&$!! is wrong with this picture?

Fight hatred.

Dropbox Notes January 22, 2107

Welcome to a new day. After yesterday’s powerful marches in opposition to FPOS, and FPOS’ comments upon those who express dissent and challenge his “reality,” I have come to the inescapable conclusion that this president will continue to lie to the people, denigrate those who speak in opposition, and represent his own self-interests at the expense of the people, including those who elected him.

So, what should we do? As Joey Shithead observed so elegantly, Talk-Action=0. Yesterday the various marches were the talk and now is the time to take action. A revolution didn’t take place with FPOS’ election, rather FPOS’ illegitimate presidency should be spark – a call to action – to eliminate evil wherever it resides even when that evil resides in the people’s house. The revolution begins with we the people.

I am posting this update in three parts to make for easier searching. The first, is the December Dropbox worthy releases which I hope you enjoyed. Just For Fun Concerts EP 2017-02 (Episode 56)

Well, we are starting to pick up some speed now with a new episode of Tales From The Dropbox. With the inauguration of the FPOS this week (“Festering Pile of Shit”), the future for the good ole U.S.A. looks a little bleak, but at least the soundtrack will be awesome! History teaches us that the election of a Republican president produces some excellent music! Tales From The Drop Box Episode 56 should brighten your week as it collects some gems from last year and offers some new selections from about to be released new LPs. So crank ‘er up and get the blood flowing.

Speaking of history, it is truly a good thing that there is no such thing as global warming. I know this to be true because the FPOS Trump informed me during the election campaign that scientists are all wrong and they don’t know what they are talking about. Whew… I’m glad he’s correct and not the scientists who obviously are reporting this disturbing fake news today:

Two leading U.S. science agencies Wednesday jointly declared 2016 the hottest year on record, surpassing the previous record set just last year — which, itself, had topped a record set in 2014.

Average surface temperatures in 2016, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, were 0.07 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than 2015, and featured eight successive months (January through August) that were individually the warmest since the agency’s record began in 1880.

The average temperature across the world’s land and ocean surfaces was 58.69 Fahrenheit, or 1.69 degrees above the 20th century average of 57 degrees, NOAA declared. The agency also noted that the record for the global temperature has now successively been broken five times since the year 2000. The years 2005 and 2010 were also record warm years, according to the agency’s dataset.

NASA concurred with NOAA, also declaring 2016 the warmest year on record in its own dataset that tracks the temperatures at the surface of the planet’s land and oceans, and expressing “greater than 95 percent certainty” in that conclusion.  (In contrast, NOAA gave a 62 percent confidence in the broken record.)

NASA actually found a bigger leap upward of temperatures in 2016, measuring the year as .22 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the prior record year of 2015. The agency also noted that just since the year 2001 the planet has seen “16 of the 17 warmest years on record.”

See U.S. scientists officially declare 2016 the hottest year on record. That makes three in a row.

I am positive that we will receive a tweet from FPOS Trump declaring NASA and NOAA as liars publishing fake news about global warming which is merely a democratic “myth” perpetuated by the leftist media. Oh wait we did! Just two days ago this  wisdom was tweeted by the FPOS: Ice storm rolls from Texas to Tennessee – I’m in Los Angeles and it’s freezing. Global warming is a total, and very expensive, hoax!

To be clear, I am not blaming the FPOS for global warming. I’m merely observing that the FPOS  is a complete freakin’ moron. As our president, FPOS should be somewhat concerned about our country’s contributions to the change and he is in charge of the two agencies which just reported this information. Further, his proposed nominee for the head of the EPA, Scott Pruit, has similar views and has articulated that he too is a nonbeliever in global warming.

Regardless of the idiots who are going to be in charge of these agencies (and other scientific agencies) and I portend they will do nothing to take action that is absolutely necessary to reduce greenhouse gases and carbon emissions, for the rest of the rational world it is pretty difficult to ignore data supporting a change is taking place in our global climate. Whether this is a long term change (centuries) or merely a short term correction in global climate, it is irresponsible to ignore the fact that the global climate is trending in a particular direction and it is caused by humans. We (all living things, humans, animals, plant life etc. (I’m defining living things for supporters of the FPOS who may not actually know what living things are)) depend on the Earth’s maintaining a homeostatic condition i.e. we can tolerate an increase or decrease in global temperatures but only by a couple of degrees without the occurrence of some very severe localized weather related events and at some point a major global climatic event (Think of the Arctic ice melt and the consequences of that in the short and long term). The causes of global climate change are fairly well documented (See Causes of Climate Change).

So, as the FPOS ignores a rapidly growing global problem that could cause food shortages and famine, flooding, and trigger weird weather events that could devastate communities such as ice storms, as he decamps to Trump Tower, it perhaps should cause all of us some great concern as he picks fight with intelligence agencies, scientists, other world leaders, and ignores the very real data being presented to him. This ignorance of the data threatens  our existence. Delay is death.

While I can’t predict what is going to happen over the next four years, someone should get a hold of the FPOS and wake him the F#^!!! up to a very serious issue that needs some policy – now.

Here is what you’ll find in Episode #56:

  1. Birthing Hips – “Sex Bias” (No Sorry)

Just For Fun Concerts EP 2017-01 (Episode 55)

Well I’m back after a lengthy break – about three weeks – and I am looking forward to bringing you another year of highlights from the mythical musical drop box. But before I can look forward, I need to resolve some issues with the past. Tales From The Drop Box Episode 55 collects some odds and ends from the past year that for some reason or another I didn’t get around to playing or didn’t have room to play on a particular episode. None of these tracks are inferior. The problem for all of these tracks was merely one of quantity i.e. the volume of awesome new music that I encountered and engaged with this past year – not their quality. So here you go. A simple and elegant solution to the problem: I’m just going to play them.

Normally, I would start the year in a much more positive frame of mind. However, with the impending inauguration of a person for whom I have no respect, I am trying to be positive but the President-elect (hereafter to be referred to as FPOS (see below) instead of POTUS) has given no sign, in any of his post election actions, that my initial impressions detailed in prior episodes of Tales From The Drop box of him as both a person and as a candidate for President are incorrect.

As early as 2011, the Onion, an honest and reliable media source that Trump would likely trust, published this inciteful story indicating that Trump cannot prove that he is not a FPOS:  Trump Unable To Produce Certificate Proving He’s Not A Festering Pile Of Shit.

With this “proof” I would be in favor of a recall.

I wish you all a happy year and hope and pray that I am incorrect about my assessment of both Trump’s character and intelligence. I fear, for us all, that I am not.

Here is what you’ll find in Episode #55:

  1. Slothrust – “Rotten Pumpkin” (Everyone Else)
  2. Adult Books – “In Front Of Myself” (Running From The Blows)
  3. Empty Atlas – “House Fire” (Hestia)
  4. Dead Days = “Liar Liar” (Start Over Again)
  5. March Divide – “Exit Signs” (Saturdays)
  6. Bleeker – “Radio Radio (Erase You)
  7. And Summer Club – “Surfer Girl” (Heavy Hawaii Punk)
  8. ADS – “Waiting For The War” (Various Artists – Killed By Deathrock Vol. 2)
  9. Brand New  “Jesus” (The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me)
  10. Birds Are Indie – “Partners In Crime” (Let’s Pretend The World Has Stopped)
  11. Les Deuxluxes – “My Babe and Me” (Springtime Devil)
  12. The Blind Shake – “Corpse On A Roof” (Celebrate Your Wroth)
  13. Elephant Stone – “Manipulator” (Ship of Fools)
  14. White Reaper  “Sheila” (White Reaper Does It Again)
  15. Equador – “Thin Air” (Bones of Man)

Well Jesus Christ I’m alone again, so what did you do those three days you were dead ‘cuz this problem’s gonna last more than the weekend . . . Yellow eyes, in the box around you I get tired of the same old lines You shot me right in the heart.
